The Quiet Library
There was a small public library hidden between two old buildings in the center of the city.
Most people walked past it without noticing.
The sign above the entrance had faded long ago.
The wooden shelves creaked.
The reading tables carried scratches left behind by generations of students.
It wasn't beautiful.
It wasn't modern.
But it was my favorite place in the world.
Whenever life became overwhelming, I escaped there.
Among old books and silent corners, everything felt easier to understand.
